I wonder if theres any way to completely erase your IBM account?

I downloaded the free version of SPSS last year for my schoolwork and obviously created an IBM account.

I am now in the need of having SPSS on my computer again and can get it for free as a student through uni; but when I download it through my uni website with their licence key, I am unable to use it because of my current account at IBM. Therefor I wonder if theres any possibility to completely erase my account? Please help!

Hi, if you now have the code based version of SPSS Statistics with code and the proper software package your IBM ID is not in use at all, so I do not understand what you say with it is not working.

For example if you have SPSS Statistics version 27 now, install it as administrator and use the 20 digit authorization code.

The trial you used in the past is NOT the code based version of SPSS Statistics . it is in fact the subscription release that does not work with a code but with IBM ID. So your IBM ID is not required for the code based version.

If you want to have your account deleted we cannot do so. You can open a ticket with below process and then we can re-route this ticket to the team that can delete your account .

Use the blue button called “Open a case to get help with SPSS License issues” to open a case. Include all required information (e.g. authorization code, lock-code, product version, ...) such that we can immediately process your request.
