  • 1.  Can webMethods talk to an Ingres database?

    Posted 02/01/02 03:47 PM

We are in the infancy/proof of concept phase with webMethods and want to be able to integrate an external Ingres database with our MS SQL Server 7 database. Has anyone out there had any experience doing this? Are there adapters that we can “plug in and play” or will we need to look at creating our own APIs?

You can use the ODBC or JDBC adapters from the webMethods Enterprise environment.

For the Integration Server environment, you can access Ingres using JDBC.

I have been able to connect to an Ingres database using the ODBC Intelligent Adapter.
