CA Event Handlers hijacking JavaScript events

    Whether I'm using Plotly's Sankey diagram or something as simple as jQuery's menu, the click events are bubbling up to Cognos' event handler, which is stopping propagation to Plotly's and jQuery menu's event handlers.  The result is that when clicked the jQuery menu expands the menu but will not contract after a menu item has been selected.

    How do I circumvent this problem?
