You can also ask your SAP guys if they've got a different librfc32.dll file for you, because there are a lot of different versions out there and not all of them work with every wtx version.
If you can't find any errors in the trace file, it is possible, that the connection to the bapi works fine (though the design studio's error message says otherwise). But you might experience the same problem as I currently do: wtx crashes when turning the bapi metadata into a typetree.
Anyway, before opening a PMR you should check the trace file. Maybe it only says "there's no infosource object with the properties you've given" (or something like that). In that case it's only a matter of your settings and the settings in sap-bw.
