  • 1.  Broker Territories

    Posted Wed January 07, 2004 01:15 AM

    Hi,

Let’s say we define a territory with 2 brokers (A and B) located across a WAN link. If a document is published in A, will it be
replicated to B even if the IS server connected to B has no triggers
associated with the particular document? Or is it smart enough
to avoid sending it. I am just concerned about adding
unnecessary WAN traffic by configuring a Territory.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

    Carlos,

The document will only be forwarded to remote Brokers containing clients that have a subscription to that document – so in your scenario the document published to Broker A will not be forwarded to Broker B.
