• 1.  Broker Installation Problem

Posted 01/30/08 05:52 PM

Hi,

I have installed webMethods 7 and I have installed Broker in it at 6849 port. When I have seen the Broker Settings it says it has been connected but When I open the Broker Admin page.(http://localhost:5555/WmBrokerAdmin) it says “Object Not Found (WmBrokerAdmin)”.

Kindly help me to solve this problem.

Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
Naveen.

If I recall correctly, WmBrokerAdmin (all of IS Administrator) was removed in 7.x. The Broker administration facilities are now in My webMethods.

Yes, You are correct. But I have even installed MyWebmethods server…But still Broker admin page is not opening. It says " Object not found". I have even verified whether the WM Broker service is running or not…it is running fine and in the IS page it is connected…but i am not able to know whats the problem…

Thanks for your reply…
Regards,
Naveen

Deprecation of WmBrokerAdmin means that http://localhost:5555/WmBrokerAdmin is no longer a valid address.

MyWebmethods server has it’s own homepage where you can find Broker Administration features. Try http://localhost:8585 if you have MyWebmethods server up and running on the default port.

My default port number where my broker was installed in 6849. So, I tried http://localhost:6849. Even then its not working. I am confused because My friends have installed successfully and they are fine with http://localhost:5555/WmBrokerAdmin is a valid address for broker admin page.
Kindly help me…thanks in advance

For IS 6.5 and earlier, http://localhost:5555/WmBrokerAdmin will work just fine. For 7.x, it doesn’t because IS Administrator as been removed. You must use My webMethods for Broker administration.

http://localhost:6849 will never work for Broker. It is not an HTTP server. As sekay pointed out, http://localhost:8585 is the default address for My webMethods–which is where you will find Broker administration facilities.
