Currently, our budget is built at the lowest level of expense, revenue, or contra account and then roles up to reports on a campus or department level. The Finance cube has accounts some accounts that are fed from other cubes and others are entered directly.
Next year, a decision was made to add an additional layer to reporting and budgeting by an additional layer of School for revenue. My question specifically relates to revenue since enrollment will be school specific for each of the campuses.

My question is this: is there a best practice for writing rules that preserve the old rules for feeding revenue from our existing Revenue cube to the Finance cube but also allow for a new calculation from a new Revenue cube?
