  • 1.  BC 46 CoreFix Upgradation Issue

    Posted Wed November 09, 2005 11:33 AM

    Hi

For an issue when we contacted SAP we were advised to upgrade our BC 4.6 server’s CoreFix from 3 to the latest one (CoreFix Level 6) but they haven’t clearly said whether this upgradation will fix the anamoly or not and they just asked us to try. We are in the process of upgrading and due to this uncertainity we 'd like to revert back to Corefix level 3 if it’s not working…

My query is - IS THERE ANY QUICK WAY TO REVERT BACK TO CORE FIX LEVEL 3 FROM 6 ONCE UPGRADED INSTEAD OF REINSTALLING BC 4.6 WITH COREFIX 3 ?

    Thans in advance
    Sreedhar K

    Hi,

What I can suggest is to make a cold back-up (a hot is possible but not sure…) before you upgrade your plate-form.

If you are facing problems after the fix just apply your backup.

    Kind Regards,

    Simon G.

Thanks for quick reply. Could you explain further by ‘Cold Back-up’ pls ?

    Thanks

    Hello,

The cold back-up consists to save the folder where the BC is installed, when this one is shut down.
