I am looking solution for the Datapower (IDG/X2) Secure Backup automation schedule on daily/weekly basis. 
Can you please let us know is there any provision to schedule daily backup of the Datapower secure backup without manual intervention.

There are many ways, but most folks write a script or use some tool to do it (Maybe I'll take this up as one of my examples in my TechXchange break-out this year).  If you have DPOD, you already have a solution.  Otherwise, it is pretty easy to write.  Essentially, you can send  a SOAP Envelope to the XML Management interface using cURL.  Here is an example of what the SOAP might look like:

Then save the cURL in a script compatible with the OS of a system having 24 x 7 access to the appliance, and schedule it.
