  • 1.  Automatically creating a syntax

    Posted Thu December 08, 2022 02:51 PM
    Hello,

I am trying to automatically create a syntax script for a binary logistic model so I can use it with different datasets. Does anyone know of a way to automatically generate this script. I have attempted doing it manual but there arent many guides on actually coding it.

    Thanks

I'm not sure I understand. "Automatically create a syntax script" implies (to me) that you are running another command or performing some other action that somehow "generates" the syntax. But I don't know for sure. (I assume that you have already tried creating a model in the logistic dialog and then pasted it into a syntax window, so you can run it on other data, with or without modifications.)

Can you provide an example, please?

    Hi Rick,

Thanks for responding.  Let me start from the beginning.  I purchased a SPSS 2-year license June 7, 2021 and successfully used it in 2021 on my MacBook Pro.  I just tried accessing SPSS for the first time this year and it fails to open.  It begins to open and then stops and closes and a JAVA window opened with a lengthy message (see below).  I'm just trying to access and use SPSS on my MacBook Pro with Monterey OS.  There seems to be a problem between my computer OS and SPSS now.  I'm sure the last time I used SPSS successfully I ran an older PS.
