  • 1.  Authentication ?

    Posted 02/24/04 04:29 PM

Does the Tamino integration in XML Spy support authentication ? I can’t find a place in XML Spy where I could specify a user name and password to connect to my Tamino database. I’m using the latest XML Spy (2004 rel 3).
    Thanks
    Vincent

    Hi Vincent,

you are probably right that Altova did not built anything into XML SPY for userid and password.

Your last chance is if the Apache Server requires authentication, then XMLSPY gets a returncode asking for userid and password. Maybe the software then pops up a dialog.

    Never tried that however.

    regards
    christian

Unfortunately I’ve tried, apache does return a 401 error but XML Spy balks :frowning:

    Hi,

    please try the

‘Load from URL’ or ‘Save to URL’ functions
in the ‘File’ menu. In the boxes you can
enter the userid and password information.
