We have a business requirement that during the scan task, the scanner should be able to choose the operator for the verify task. There are rr tasks of pageID and profiler between the scan and verify tasks. Is there a way to set the verify operator ID?

Another idea we had was to add a field to the batch that the scanner could choose the verifier and that field would then be displayed in the job monitor. However, we would want to populate the choice list with the membership of an Active Directory group.

We Use EDS during scanning to get a list of available branches a user can send a batch to, this is based off of active directory, so your idea of getting that list should be possible. depending on how that name is formatted you may be able to go one step further and rather than adding a custom column just set the task operator to that user at your profile step, though i am not sure if setting an operator will be retained from completion of the rulerunner step to start of verify.

Its also possible to do batch role level security on a doc, depending on the the amount of users, you may just be able to put each user in their own role, assign the batch to that role, and then only that user would see the batch. though that sounds like a pain to maintain to be honest

The business users decided that a text box they could type into was OK. We can then add a custom column to display that field.
