Ariba themselves recommend IBM WBI which contains an Ariba adapter but it also has huge overlaps in technology we already own.

    thanks for any input

Ariba is already in full use here and uses Tibco for transformation and connectivity. However in the next release the customer does not want to use Tibco at all because a) Ariba provide no documentation of the interface and b) there has been considerable instability of Tibco that affects Ariba and vice versa.
In addition we already have a full EAI solution with TX that we want to plug into. I'll look at the Websphere Business Integration adapter and hope it doesn't enforce the use of the Integrator transformation tool.

Perhaps though, depending on your project timescales, it may just work out that you can upgrade to the merged version when it becomes available. Then you could make use of the WBI Ariba adapter.

Or perhaps you could raise a request for the Ariba adapter to be available in TX sooner?

    Just a thought.

Hope all else is well up there.
