When distributing a report as a saved file, CA offers four options under "Conflict resolution":

1. Keep existing files
2. Replace existing files
3. Make the filenames unique and append a timestamp
4. Make the filenames unique and append a sequence number

I would like to append a timestamp regardless of whether a file with the same name already exists in the export directory or not. 
Any suggestions of how to do that?

The only thing I can think of is to leave a copy without a timestamp in the save location. That's certainly not ideal, though. Maybe you should suggest this as a request for enhancement.

I asked for this as a feature enhancement back in Cognos 8 days.  It has not been implemented to my knowledge.
