With the launch of App Connect Enterprise, the next version of Integration Bus now combined with App Connect Professional, we are addressing 4 primary needs for our customers:
    - providing new connectors to SaaS applications
    - allowing collaboration across the use cases for cloud integration and app integration (and their related user communities)
    - new lightweight integration deployment options that can be distributed across the enterprise (in addition to the heritage ESB architecture pattern), and
    - covering additional integration patterns (event-action, integrations services for apis, data copy, and more).

Please let me know if you need access to this new, awesome technology.

Hello Tony, we are in the middle of some Arquitectural decisions with customers of IIB regarding new cloud integration use cases, could you share with us, additional information to assist our clients with that.

    Warmest regards.

Hi Luis... thanks for reaching out. Amy, can you please connect with Luis and see what help he needs. Also, I notice that this went on the "API Mgmt" list, but should be on an "Application Integration" list in reality. Thanks, ---Tony Tony Curcio Director, Application Integration IBM Cloud Integration tcurcio@us.ibm.com704.957.6031 ----- Original message -----

    Hi, Tony,
I hope you are well. I would like to have information about App Connect Enterprise, I searched and only until March 30 is the launch date, could you indicate where I can find an information about it.
I am currently working on IIB10, and I would like to know more about this new tool which, as far as I can see, is the successor to IIB. Thank you very much.

    Hi Yomer....

Before March 30, the best way to get to it is via the beta at the following link on IBM Cloud.

    https://console.bluemix.net/catalog/services/app-connect

It is a successor to IIB, but it is actually IIB++++   It includes the IIB runtime as a core component, and we are marrying that awesome workhorse with our new cloud service.

So for the development, IIB toolkit is still needed. Or there is any console through which the development can also be done on cloud.

    Monoj,

I'll defer to Tony or any of his team if they chime in, but I thought I'd provide you with a quick response.  I was speaking with one of Tony's Offering Managers this week about this.  The Toolkit will continue to exist for hardcore development, but there is also a higher-level web interface available through the Cloud.  This is called "Designer" in App Connect Professional KC and, as far as I can tell, unnamed on the Cloud interface screens.  It's just what you see when you expand one of the integrations listed on your Dashboard.

So, there are two development toolkits intended for two different development communities.  The traditional Toolkit is for situations when significant coding will be required.  The "Designer" is for when simple integration and transport using the very large number of available adapters is needed.

    Regards,

    Glen Brumbaugh

It will be great to see an example of a lightweight deployment.

    Hi Francios,

If you are coming to THINK, there are a few sessions on this topic.  Mercedes-Benz is presenting one, as is Produban.  We'll also be publishing an ebook in the next week or so with some customer learnings in it.

We've started looking into App Connect Enterprise, at first sight, the lightweight deployment and the ESB architecture is golden.

App Connect Enterprise for Developing Mobile Apps

Our mobile software engineering team has tried working with other vendors, such Dell Boomi and Kitterbit, this seems to be the most reliable solution so far. I would suggest adding more SaaS connectors, even basic ones or let it open to APIs.

API Flows can be a great addition, to covering event-driven actions; However it does state service integrations for API, yet we don't seem to know how or where this option can be enabled?

Sure, it's just a suggestion. I personally think, having more connectors would make it easier to integrate with more APIs or even internal microservices.

I think you need a tool that is designed to integrate with Social Media Apps, WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, Airtable, Slack, Google Drive, Jira etc - that is not the ACE that I know.
There is a different product: app-connect

You are in right community - just the wrong thread.

    Underlabs,

If your deployment target is OpenShift then App Connect Enterprise has already been enhanced with a lot of the SaaS connectors.  This has been done by beginning to port the connectors that were previously only available on the App Connect managed service on IBM Cloud. As mentioned by Matthias, you can learn more about the App Connect service on IBM Cloud here https://developer.ibm.com/integration/docs/app-connect/how-to-guides-for-apps/

You can see the subset of these that have been ported to App Connect Enterprise on containers  so far here  https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSTTDS_11.0.0/com.ibm.ace.icp.doc/certc_supportedcomponentsforflowss.html

Would you need these connectors also available on non Kubernetes deployments of App Connect Enterprise?
