Since only output reports versions (PDF or Excel) are published to a Teams channel, users don't need to connect to Cognos and then don't need a license.
The main objective was to stop pushing by mail to many users who often don't open what they received, now people have to go to Teams if they want a report.

Is the Cognos / MS Teams interface highly used? Are the clients happy with it? Since the reports can only be viewed by licensed Cognos users, do you just self-monitor that or must the person viewing the report in MS Team use their Cognos sign on to sign in ?

Hello Brenda,
I developed an integration with MS Teams for one of my customers.
First way (manual) : add the Cognos App in Microsoft Teams, and then a Cognos user can share a report to a Team channel from the Cognos portal
Second way (batch) : cognos batch reports are sent to a generic mail address, and then a Power Automate check inbound mail and put attachements into several Teams channel, based on mail subject or attachment name
Both solutions are very easy to set up.
