    Hello,

    Community support for python3.7  ends 06/27/23.
    They don't allow us to use python versions for which community support expired.

    Any ETA on 3.9-based DNF for AIX?

    We are interesed in libdnf for Python3.9 for AIX7.3 as well as python3.9 and libdnf 64-bit for AIX7.2.

    AIX 7.2 has 32-bit DNF and 7.3 64-bit.
    We are hoping to upload both 32 and 64-bit DNF with python3.9  in 1 to 1 1/2  months.

    Ist it possible to get 64-bit libdnf as well for AIX7.2? Would be much easier to handle ansible in mixed AIX7.2/7.3 environments.

    Hi Carsten,

     

    AIX 7.2 and before has 32bit rpm command and library and hence 64bit dnf is not possible.

    From AIX 7.3 rpm is 64bit hence we can provide 64bit dnf for AIX 7.3 but not for AIX 7.2
