Thursday November 9th, 2023 – Apptio announces the General Availability (GA) of Enhanced Access Administration. This release is centered around a comprehensive refactor of the existing look and feel of Frontdoor's Access Administration. Beyond these aesthetic enhancements, we extended functionality to improve usability and updated our underlying technology to ensure secure access to our products providing a foundation for future functionality.

Q: What is being released and why?
We are releasing a stable version of our refactor of Frontdoor's Access Administration across all customers to prepare your team for the deprecation of the existing "legacy" Access Administration. With this release, all users on your account will have access to both the legacy and enhanced experiences. Administrators will not be able to turn off access to the enhanced experience for select users.

Q: What improvements have been made?
We've made several improvements to simplify user authentication and access management:
❖ Simplify our home page around core functionality.
❖ Streamline bulk actions to provide clarity and transparency into user permissions.
❖ Upgraded to modern table and frontend components.
❖ Align our user interface with familiar Apptio product experiences.

Q: How do I get started? What is the transition period?
On Tuesday, November 9th, 2023, at 1pm ET, you can access the new experience by clicking on a separate button under the gear icon labeled "Enhanced Access Administration." During this transition, we will continue to support both the legacy and enhanced experiences, allowing you ample time to migrate your users to the new experience. We plan to formally begin deprecating the legacy experience in the first half of 2024. Feedback can be provided through an in-app feedback component as well as our existing community ideas page. We look forward to hearing your feedback.
