    Hi,
    Just checking if anyone has come across the error below please and know the fix.

    We have an open PMR with IBM and were asked to apply Environment variables to get SSL traces, since we cant predict when this error occurs, we are unable to reproduce in lower environments and the trace is impacting the CPU and Memory on the OS as well.

    Our setup is .. Microservice --> CLB --> MQ (on a EC2), using cipher 'TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384' and no application impacts reported so far.
    ===============================================
    AMQ9620E: Internal error on call to SSL function on channel '????' to host 'ip-10-xxx-xxx-xxx )'.

    EXPLANATION:
    An error indicating a software problem was returned from a function which is used to provide SSL or TLS support. The error code returned was '3'. The function call was 'gsk_secure_soc_init'.

    The channel is '????'; in some cases its name cannot be determined and so is shown as '????'. The channel did not start.
     The remote host name is 'ip-10-xxx-xxx-xxx'.
    ACTION:
    Collect the items listed in the 'Problem determination' section of the System Administration manual and use either the MQ Support site:
    http://www.ibm.com/software/integration/wmq/support/, or IBM Support Assistant (ISA): http://www.ibm.com/software/support/isa/, to see whether a solution is already available.  If you are unable to find a match, contact your IBM support center.
    ===============================================
    Please let me know.
    Thanks
    Ani

    We had seen similar issue with gskkit storage error.
    try adding: AMQ_MALLOC_ARENA_SET=1  as explained     https://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IT20636

    rc=3 from gsk_secure_soc_init means GSK_INTERNAL_ERROR, so a PMR with IBM is certainly the correct route to take.

    Cheers,

    Thanks Morag and Om for the response. We are trying to get the info over to IBM as well, we are currently waiting on a diagnostic fix from IBM.

    Thanks

    Ani
