AMQ7026E: A principal or group name was invalid

    Hello,

    I was trying to give access to "Domain User", So that it can access Queue manager and its object.

    For that, Firstly I made this domain user a part of "mqm" group which is local group on Linux machine.

    but still this domain user is "Not authorized" to access queue manager. {error come when running "runmqsc command"}

    Starting MQSC for queue manager PXXXXXX1.
    AMQ8135E: Not authorized.

    Hence, I tried to provide certain permission (using setmqaut) to this domain user to access QM, but i am getting error as "principal or group name was invalid".

    AMQ7026E: A principal or group name was invalid.

    What can be done to allow domain user to access the QM. Kindly suggest.

    Thanks in advance!

    Regards

    Akash K

    Try setting up a user without a space in it. Then find Morag's blog about authorizing without giving group mqm access.

    If need be you can create a chlauth record proxying the user with the space to a user without a space...
