Thank you for your question, and your patience. I spent some time trying to gather the most information that I could on your topic, and conferred with our support team in the meantime just to be certain.
The short answer unfortunately is no, this feature cannot be used in this way.
Dependent region abends (MPP or BMP) trigger the notification and search "event driven" function only if the abend involves IMS system processing. Application/transaction abends are not recognized by the "event driven" capability.
