ALE Listener Creation

  • 1.  ALE Listener Creation

    Posted Sun November 29, 2009 05:00 AM

    Hi all,

I have a small doubt. Do we need to create an ALE listener for each IDOC we receive through ALE notifications?

I mean…one listener is enough or do we need to create individual listeners using Program ID?

Also, what are the possibilities of having multiple listeners?? We have one SAP client and 1 webMethods IS. So, Inorder to receive the IDOCs, is it enough to have single listener or multiple listeners configured using different Program ID?

If its possible, Why we go for multiple listners for each idoc or group of idocs?

And I have one more doubt, In ALE notification asynchronous, a publishable doc is created…so, to send it to the corresponding service we need to write a trigger …right?

    Kindly assist.

    Regards,
    David.

To answer this question, Once you create ALE Listener notification, it will create publishable document and so you have to create trigger by your own to process that document.
