You typically can only install AIX on IBM hardware designed for it so those platform you are thinking about won't work. If you want to learn AIX, you could start getting a free account and start playing. Search this forum about that. A number of people posted links before about free AIX accounts.

If you are new to the UNIX world and you want you own setup, one option would be to try out Linux. You could gain a lot of UNIX knowledge by starting with Linux first and gradually move to AIX. Good luck!
