I'm an IBM i (aka AS/400, iSeries) guy that's been asked to help configure an ODBC connection to the IBM i from an AIX application.

The AIX application in question is Business Objects.

I'm aware of an DB2 for i ODBC driver available for Windows or Linux, but not AIX. I did note that the Linux driver supports both Intel and Power...

I'm not sure which driver the AIX guys are trying to use, but they are getting back an error ODBC DB2 Wire Protocol driver Remote Database not found: C00092A4.

C00092A4 is the TCP/IP name of our iSeries. It is running v5r4 and has only one database. iSeries system and DB name is S10316ZM.

    So my questions
    1) Can this be done?
    2) Which driver and where do I find it?
    3) any examples of .odbc.ini or other configuration files

    Thank you,
    Charles
