  • 1.  AIX 7.2 TL5 sp4 yum update to dnf fails with the following errors

    Hello all,

    We are trying to update - replace yum installation in this AIX lpar with dnf.
    We have followed the procedure described at : https://community.ibm.com/community/user/power/blogs/sangamesh-mallayya1/2021/05/28/dnf-is-now-available-on-aix-toolbox

    and before executing
    #./dnf_aixtoolbox.sha -y

    we have also installed openssl-1.1.2.2000.tar.Z & OpenSSH_9.2.112.2000.tar.Z , to avoid libcrypto error.

    It seems (due to ssl upgrade?)  that the "ssl/certs/" exists at 2 locations in the same time (/opt/freeware/etc/ssl/certs & /var/ssl/certs/)

    The error shows file conflict b/w the same rpm which is weird. 
    what is the output of "rpm -qa | grep ca-certificates" ? Can you remove ca-certificates and then try to run dnf script.

    1) rpm -e --nodeps ca-certificates

    2)yum update --skip-broken

    3)Install latest openssl & openSSH

    4) ./dnf_aixtoolbox.sh -y
