The passwd command reference in infocenter says that the passwd command will change the EFS keystore password if the old password can open the keystore.
Section 2.5.6 of the “AIX V6 Advanced Security Features: Introduction and Configuration” Redbook seem to contradict this stating that the password command only changes the login password and not the keystore password.
Am I missing something, or do the two documents say different things? I have not been able to make the two passwords sync unless I run a passwd command followed by efskeymgr –n.
