If you don't know, get on the PPA site and give them a call. They should be able to figure out who your site admin is and you can request access from there. Whenever you need to support new hardware or a new hardware feature, you should probably get updated BOS filesets off of media or by downloading through Passport Advantage.

Also, I would recommend you load AIX 6.1 anyway. If you don't do it now you'll have to do a migration soon to remain supported.

Maintenance. Not installations :) So with the procedure You can update existing 5.3TL3 machines but You cannot install new 5.3TL12 machines. So this procedure doesn't apply to original posters problem. I'm sorry for the noise.
