ITX-A is a completely different product to ITX.

ITX is a general purpose mapping engine with add on packs for various industry standards.  It is the transformation egine of choice across several IBM products.

ITX-A is a standards processing engine for de-enveloping and enveloping common EDI and Healthcare message formats.

The products do interact with each other (ITX-A can call ITX maps for complex transformations and ITX has an SPE adapter to call ITX-A).

                I worked on WTX. So I know what ITX can do like mapping EDI transactions to XML and vice versa. Based on your answer, ITXA cannot use for same kind of mapping? ITXA only useful for de-enveloping and enveloping EDI, health care msg formats. of course we can call ITX from ITXA for complex transformations. Please suggest?
