The ADT has never been an official IBM supported tool and was only offered as "ASIS". That said it is still widely used by many proffesionals - mostly because it makes it easy to build all the file structures that is needed although it has never been updated to include the necessary structures for ISIM 6/7 nor IGI adapters.
It can still be downloaded from the OPAL site at IBM : https://www-01.ibm.com/marketing/iwm/mrs/packageList?source=tivopal&lang=en_US and then search for the ADT using e.g. "adapter" as your search term.
The OPAL site changed location years ago - and it is basically forgotten and nowhere unless you are lucky to ask weirdo old timers like me you would probably never find it - I hope this will help you and others here finding a lot of good old tools....
There are rumors inside IBM that somebody has successfully made the ADT run on latest SDI and opsys combos - I hope this is true and we will see another release at some time - but do hold your breath.

    Hi @Franz Wolfhagen/all,

I'm looking to download the Adapter development tool for ISIM v6. The above OPAL link does not work anymore.

Is anyone able to provide a new link for ADT please?

    Thanks

    Ravi

    Hi @Franz Wolfhagen/all

I'm looking to download the Adapter development tool (ADT) for ISIM v6/ TDI v7.1.1.

The above OPAL link does not seem to work anymore. Is anyone able to share a new link please?

Also, is there a separate ADT version for ISDI v7.2/ ISVDI 10? I'm just asking as we may upgrade these components in the near future in our environment.

You can download the ADT from Github here : https://github.com/IBM-Security/ISIM-ADT

Be aware this is very old and IIRC needs to run on a 32bit SDI 7.1.1 to work. I will not recommend spending too much time getting it too work but do the setup manually instead.

    HTH.

Hi Franz, I am courious about this topic. The other way to do an adapter seems very manually, there is an option in IBM to develop adapters?

I am pretty sure our developers has some tooling - in Expert Labs some people still uses the old ADT to create the base files - but as it is lacking the extended service attributes introduced in ISIM 6 some manual additions are needed.

I expect to do some adapter work in the coming months and I share methods and guidelines with our development - hopefully we will at some point have some better tooling (probably based on SDI) to create the mandatory files - but that is definitely not a promise even if I would want to....

The ADT Test ALs are also lacking instructions on how to test multi value attributes - there is a lot of tricks in SDI that I would really like to get out into the field that can speed up the process. I will consider this for IBM UGs

I've managed to re-create the ADT project. It's running 64b java 17 natively, invoking the SVDI server. It's doable! :)

Still, having the official IBM tool is the preferred way. The idea that it's going to be built on top of the SVDI is great!

    Hello Padam,

to create new IGI/ISIM/ISPIM Custom Adapter you need to use the IBM Security Identity Adapter Development and Customization Guide.
You can download from Passport Advantage using the part number CC2FTEN (v7.1.10)

    I hope it helps.

Let me add to this - I had an internal discussion on the Adapter Development documentation and what is perhaps not clear is that this the only maintained documentation and covers all adapter platforms i.e. ISIM 6/7, ISPIM and ISIGI. There are things that are left out (e.g. the Dispatcher JAVA APIDOC) and I personally find it difficult to read and would have preferred that a PDF version was also available. That said it has improved over the years and there many hidden gems in the documentation - but I hope we will be able to improve it further for the benefit of the community.
