I have a licensed copy of SPPS installed on my computer through our University. I assume that this must be the basic version as some of the tests I want to do are not on there. Specifically I want to add spectral analysis and periodogram analysis under the forecasting section.

My question is - how do I do this? Can I do this through my institution or is it something I do myself, and if the latter do I have to pay for this add on feature

    Hi

You are correct, our functionality is controlled by the licensing. The Forecasting module is part of the IBM SPSS Statistics Professional Edition (It is also in the "Premium" edition.

When you run the "SHOW LICENSE." command syntax, do you see the Forecasting modules as having been licensed? IF so then you will have access to it:

    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSLVMB_27.0.0/statistics_mainhelp_ddita/spss/base/forecasting_container.html

If you do not currently have access to the Forecasting module, you would need to either negotriate with your organ ization to get it for you, or purchase it yourself.

Here is a link to our pricing for the various "Editions": https://www.ibm.com/products/spss-statistics/pricing

    I hope this helps!
