Add Line Items in ICN

  • 1.  Add Line Items in ICN

    Posted Mon October 28, 2019 08:56 AM
    Hi all

We are looking for an option how to enable adding (and also removing) line items from table for an end-users in content navigator. Is it possible to turn on any + or - sign/buttons for a table that will allow users to add or remove line? By default there's nothing that will allow you doing this.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Marcel,

Can you give us more detail on this request?

Give us a description of the overall business goal the users are trying to accomplish, the current steps they have to take to accomplish this goal and your view of the desired user flow to accomplish the goal.

A screenshot with some markup would also be very helpful.

    Thanks!

    Hi Marcel,

Thank you for your enquiry.  Are you able to share more information about what you are seeking to achieve, please?
For example, can you describe the table and it's purpose?

    Thanks,
    Neil Parrott

Table contains recognized items from table on paper document. It's multiple payment request so each line contains account number and the amount. But the paper/table can contain strikethrough some lines. Datacap did recognize the line and verify user has to remove it. Same for adding: if datacap didn't recognize a line than verify user has to add it.

I'm not sure what, either turning on +/->/x buttons or having these buttons or both, specifically is not allowed "by default" to you, because these buttons are there and enabled "by default" in APT application - see the screenshot below:

Your table looks differently than ours.
Where's the difference? What should we use to have table like you have?

The difference(s) can be found/confirmed only by someone looking into your application, which almost certainly is not using the concepts of table/lineitems as defined/intended by Datacap, which is implemented in APT application.

Someone will need to dig into this application to figure it out, I suggest opening a support case.

If you already have a case open, send me the case number.

    Hi Tod,
it is not a support problem. they are using APT to define these tables and you show them a standard table verify.js.

Marcel must use the standard Datacap actions to create the layout.xml using OCR A  like Recognition and the CreateAll fields.
Once the tables are recognized in the tm_x.layout.xml then the fileds will be created for this page image.
Once this created they must extract from all page fields only the table they need developing a custom action.

This out of the box Datacap ICN Plugin verify.js  table functionality is developed only for tables on a single page and with fix columns number.

As I know they are using APT and tables for invoices on more pages. this means once they want to use this standard functionality they must change their application and their concept and use no APT.
I hope it helps... more or less
