Hi,
unfortunately memory compression is not substitute for deduplication. I was hoping, that there is some memory management for WPARs, but couldn't find nothing. I wonder how their marketing missed to promote memory deduplication as killer SAP feature. A typical SAP landscape of 6 LPARs, DEV/TEST/PROD with the same OS, the same Java, and the same app could benefit so much from freeing the duplicate pages. The best option nowadays would be to setup Linux KVM host on POWER and use the Linux kernel KSM feature.
best regards

Nice question. I used AMS for QA/DEV LPARS on Power8/Power9 and worked like a charm.
Now on Power10 i'm using AME (for everything DEV/QAD/PROD) and performance is quite good.
For Linux Redhat on Power1x we are testing zram vs zswap.

Hello,
since POWER10 do not support active memory sharing, what is the best practice to dynamic optimize memory between the LPARs?
