    Regarding the Collector Node

    While I can see in the trace node that the collector is working as designed.
    I am wondering, what is the best way to transform the Collection into something useful?
    Currently I am having something like
    Collection
      CollectionName:CHARACTER:test_document
      title
        XMLNSC
          title:CHARACTER:ACE11
      header
        XMLNSC
          h1:CHARACTER:ACE11 
      body
        XMLNSC
          div:CHARACTER:Hello World

    As an alternative to esql, I am wondering if the Mapping node is also skilled to process a Collection?

    Hi Matthias,

    Alas the Mapping node can't handle Collection. I have created an RFE some time ago and it is marked as release candidate. You can voto for this RFE: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=81328

    What we are doing, we have a subflow with a compute node that copies all the message contents (no headers) to Environment.Variables, parsers (XMLNSC, JSON) are copied with it and we use an XSD where XMLNSC, JSON, etc. is defined as element with xsd:any as child. The transformations are done with the mapping node, where you can either cast to a known element or make a user defined element from a known type.

    Currently there is no support for transforming Collector node output using the Graphical Mapping node directly.
