An IS can connect to only one Broker. And changing which Broker to which it connects is not a trivial matter.

    Hi,
As reamon said, IS can connect to only one broker but one broker can connect to many IS… The brokers are just entities, which you can classify according to your business requirement and create territories, gateways accordingly.
    Hope that makes sense

    Regards,
    Niteesh

“only one broker but one broker can connect to many IS”

To nipick, Broker doesn’t connect to anything. Instead, it is more accurate to state “multiple IS instances can connect to a single Broker”.

“multiple IS instances can connect to a single Broker”. → YES this is how you need to look angle the :)…

In general you can also add different broker names on the one broker (say localhost:8585) and assign the broker name on each different IS.
