  • 1.  4GL 7.51.fc3 missing file i4glc3

    Hello,
    the 4gl Compiler package version 7.51.fc3 does not contain the i4glc3 file when unpacked:

    tar xvf ../Informix_4GL_Compiler_Develop_751FC3_AIX.tar
    . . .
    x lib/tools/i4glc1, 1035436 bytes, 2023 media blocks.
    x lib/tools/i4glc2, 502998 bytes, 983 blocks of media.
    x lib/tools/i4glc4, 35992 bytes, 71 media blocks.
    . . .

    And the compilation fails with an error :
    c4gl -c globa.4gl
    /usr/informix/4gl/bin/c4gl[405]: /usr/informix/4gl/lib/tools/i4glc3: not found.

    Do you have any recommendations what to do next?
    Discard version 7.51.fc3 and stay on version 7.51.fc2x6 ?
    Any newer (complete) 4gl packages?

    We can see i4glc3 in our tar.

    Hi Manesh, Thank you for your reply.
    Problem solved with a new installation from the current installation package into a new disk space.
    The i4glc3 file was created as part of the install4gl installation process. 
    Perhaps the problem was caused by a bad installation and/or a file system problem.
