  • 1.  32 Bit vs 64 Bit

    Hello,
    I have a basic question regarding installation and compatbility of 32, 64 bit version of webMethods components.

    • Can I install 64 bit version of software on 32-bit OS.
    • Can I install 32 bit version of software on 64-bit OS.
      What are the resource consideration (Memory, Threads, CPU, etc…) one needs to take into consideration while switching from 32-bit to 64-bit and vice-versa.

    Any pointers to information source is well appreciated.

    You can install 32 bit version of software on 64-bit OS.

    For resource consideration kindly refer the hardware requirements guide provided by SAG. Let me know if you still have question.

    64 bit version of software on 32-bit OS wont be supported the other way it works please refer to SAG software requirements documentation.
