    i have chnaged the values of file /etc/security/user to new values as in the document attached, then system did not allow me to remote login. hence i have changed the values back to the old values using already opened SAMBA share.

    now the system is not allowing me to login. what can be done. please help.

    i can not restart this system any time soon, as this is our SAP production system.

    your help is much appriciated.

    1. Try logging in from the console, as only remote logins are blocked.
    2. Login as yourself and "su" to root.
    3. Use "sudo" if this is installed, to become root.
