    Hi there

    We currently use native authentication to set up users in Architect/Perspectives. We are busy planning forward to April 2025, when the 2.0 series will no longer be supported, and along with it Architect/Perspectives. Does this in turn mean that it will no longer be possible to set up users/Passwords as before, and we will have to use AD etc?

    Hi Chris,

    We are releasing a feature in PAW 2.0.96 in the Manage users and groups area of Modeling Workbench to add users to databases and set passwords for databases.  

    The user is added to the Planning Analytics database (TM1 server) only, not to the IBM Planning Analytics
    Workspace. If you want to use the user for authentication, the user must also exist in the IBM Planning
    Analytics Workspace. The pw could be changed after the user/pw is added as well.

    Thanks again for this. But beyond April 2025, the 2.0 series will be unsupported. Will this same functionality be incorporated in 2.1?

    Yes, this functionality for userrs/pw change and all other capabilities we have in 2.0 will be in 2.1.
