  • 1.  11.2.0 User Capabilities

    Hi all,

    We are currently using the 11.2.0 Cognos.

    While configuring the security and permission based on license roles, there is one feature that we wanted to remove from some users but somehow could not find the right capabilities for it. Please refer to below photo for reference.

    Is there any way where we can limit this capability for only certain group/roles? Which capabilities should we change to achieve this?

    After following the above link, somehow only Analytics User role have the ability to 'Manage' the 'My credentials' on the User Profile & Settings while other roles - Analytics Administrator/Explorer/Viewer all greyed out.

    Mohamad,

     

    The free version of Motio PI will give you all the groups and capabilities of a user. By comparing two users you should be able to solve the problem. Run the Motio app on your Cognos application server.

     

    You will use 'User Access' in Motio PI if I remember correctly.
