Pricing & Packaging for SPSS Statistics Subscription

By Douglas Stauber posted Tue March 14, 2017 07:03 PM

Last week we announced IBM SPSS Statistics Subscription, a new exciting addition to our offering portfolio. Today I wanted to elaborate on the pricing and packaging for this offer.

First, SPSS Statistics Subscription includes new packaging. IBM SPSS Statistics 24, which is and will be available for sale, has very flexible yet complex packaging. We wanted to simplify the purchase experience for the Subscription while maximizing flexibility to users. We did this by developing a new packaging paradigm that relies on a Base edition plus three optional add-ons.

All of the options for SPSS Statistics 24 are present for the Subscription. For example, if you require the equivalent of SPSS Statistics 24 Standard Edition, you should purchase SPSS Statistics Subscription Base + the Custom Tables & Advanced Statistics Add-on. Also notice that we've put Bootstrapping and Data Preparation capabilities in the Base Edition at no additional charge, because we felt everyone could benefit from these capabilities.

Second, the pricing for the Subscription is new. The pricing is monthly per user with no commitments. You purchase for one month at a time, but you can cancel anytime by turning off autorenew (it's basically like Netflix for Data Scientists). That makes the Subscription the most affordable way to purchase SPSS Statistics.

They'll be more information about SPSS Statistics Subscription soon, leading up to our launch on March 28th.

If you're a paid Subscriber, to turn auto-renew off head to MyIBM Products and Services. After logging in, find the "IBM SPSS Statistics Subscription" tile and click on the "Manage" button. On that overview page, you will see a switch to cancel your subscription. When you need the software again, you can return to the IBM Marketplace and begin your Subscription again.

Thank you for this post. I subscribed to SPSS but cannot find where to turn autorenew off... Could you maybe help me?
