How much important is competitive coding to get a job . As i am a Machine Learning student and i don't have much interests in CP , i want to work on real world problems. So is it necessary to do CP to get a job?

    Hello Ankit,

Competitive programming may be interesting -but definitely not necessary!- for programmers / developers but I don't think you would ever need it for data science / machine learning; it's a very different sort of coding, not that one you would use in data science. So, in place of LeetCode, CodeForces, HackerRank etc, the data science platform Kaggle is probably much more relevant for you - and one of few places where you can get your hands on some real world data. If you don't have any experience with Kaggle so far, you may want to read this post "What is Kaggle, Why I Participate, What is the Impact?" to get some idea; or go through their (free & certified) Deep Learning micro-course to get some taste of real world ML applications using TensorFlow.
(Personally, I do competitive programming because I like it, not because it would add up anything to my DS knowledge; recently, I've started on Kaggle because there's a lot to learn and practice.)
    Good luck!
