Most software products produce logs. Many of these products, IBM MQ for instance, are moving towards machine readable (as opposed to the previously "Formatted for Humans") files. IBM has: (1) The source code behind creating the log entries, (2) the data contained in the log messages (hopefully externalized into configuration files), and (3) potentially a vast supply of log file entries. This will be even truer as more workloads are run on IBM Cloud.
How do we leverage analytics for both prescriptive (what happened) and predictive (what's going to happen) analysis of this rich data source? How can I, as a Computer Scientest and a SME from the Cloud Integration area, leverage existing analytics?
