Implementation for 60 Concurrent User Licenses for IBM SPSS Statistics Standard Edition. There are
two implementation topologies to license the SPSS Statistics Software.
TOPOLOGY 01:
We want to install IBM SPSS Statistics Concurrent User Licenses on a Windows Server Machine centrally and not on user's machine so the user will log onto the desktop of Windows Server (Remote Desktop) and launch the SPSS Statistics. In this implementation Topology here the resources of the Window Server Machine is being used to execute the SPSS Statistical procedures.
Q1.1 - What is the hardware configuration required TOPOLOGY 01?
Ans 1.1 - 60 Core / 80 GB RAM - please validate this.
Q1.2 - How do we control the access and use of the software - from a pool of total 300 users are sharing the license (concurrent users) if a set of 60 users are using the software programs through remote desktop access then how give access to another set of 60 users and so on as we can divide all the users in 5 Groups - all of the users having remote desktop access?

TOPOLOGY 02:
Concurrent Server License installed on Windows Server and Software installed on user's Laptop – my assumption is that that here the compute resources of the user's laptop will be used to execute the SPSS Stream
Q2.1 - What is the hardware configuration required TOPOLOGY 02?
Ans 2.1 - 8 Core / 4 GB for Server machine and 2 Core / 4 GB for each user's laptop - Please validate.
Q2.2 - How do we control the access and use of the software - from a pool of total 300 users are sharing the license (concurrent users) if a set of 60 users are using the software programs through their individual laptop then how give access to the software another set of 60 users and so on as we can divide all the users in 5 Groups - all of them are accessing from their individual laptop ?
