Hi. I'm new around here, so if there´s comething wrong with this post, juste let me know.

I was searching and trying to import an onprimeses DataStage job exported, into DataStage Cloud. The exported format is an XML.

So my question is: Is it possible to import an xml job into cloud version?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Wesley,

if I understand you correctly, then you want to migrate from DataStage 11.7 to CP4D/DaaS?

I this is your task, then the format you need is not XML but ISX, you get an ISX by either exporting from the ISM (Infosphere Information Server Manager) or in the commandline using istools. This ISX can than be imported in the CP4D UI or via cpdctl dsjob migrate.

I hope this helps you.

Hi:

You can also use IBM InfoSphere Information Server Manager to create .isx file.

Hi Wesley -

You could also use MettleCI to commit your classic DataStage assets to a Git repository along with a set of auto-generated unit tests.  With the release of Cloud Pak v5.1 you can now import and execute those tests alongside your classic DataStage jobs, providing you with firm evidence that your newly-migrated CPD flows produce the same functional outcome as your classic DataStage jobs.
