    Hello,

Does anyone knows  if IBM is going to retire the dsx format and have only isx for datastage code portability.
We have some automation  on dsx which then in this case need refactoring  to isx ,not sure if it's even possible

As far as I know, DaaS (DataStage as a Service) will only support ISX and will also only be able to import ISX files from a certain version upward. But this should be best answered by IBM prduct management. For me this is also unfortunate, for I have stored the exploits of my former projects as DSXs and would have to convert them to ISX to reuse the code fragments.

As I know there is not any plans for Dsx support anymore. For migration between IS and CP4D you have to use ISX files. In CP4D itself JSON extracts are planned.

I agree that DSX is useful format for job manipulating (especially if you have some framework in your environment). ISX could be also modified externally. ISX is just zip file with xml files inside. XML are not similar to XML Designer output (which is DSX split into XML nodes) but more related to XMETA structure.

Information server 11.7.1.3 which is the latest version of non containerised DataStage continues to support dsx, xml and isx formats for DataStage exports

Cloud Pak for Data for containerised version you can migrate DataStage jobs using isx format

Thank you Mark .The specific pain point here is that we have invested in a tool to  generate jobs in dsx .If CP4D cannot import jobs in dsx the tool needs to be re-written to generate jobs in isx .Can there be a functionality where a dsx can be converted to isx or something similar in those lines.
