The acquisition of StreamSets extends the breadth and depth of IBM Data Fabric's data integration capabilities by enabling the design of real-time data pipelines. StreamSets helps users ingest, enrich, and harness the potential of streaming data through features such as offset handling and delivery guarantees.
The goal is to enable continuous, real-time processing, integration, and transfer of data when it is available, reducing latency and data staleness.
IBM's industry-leading Data Integration portfolio includes tools such as IBM DataStage for moving and transforming mission-critical data with ETL/ELT processing and IBM Databand, a data observability solution for data pipeline monitoring and issue remediation. Now, the addition of IBM StreamSets enables real-time streaming data pipelines, allowing clients to address a broad set of use cases no matter the style of data integration.
Existing StreamSets clients continue to receive the same high level of support and service they have come to expect. Moreover, this acquisition brings increased investment to extend connectivity and CDC support, integrate with data lineage and data observability, and focus on end-to-end data pipeline orchestration.

IBM StreamSets Marketplace Links:
For those that would like to deploy on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), IBM StreamSets does not have a marketplace listing for GCP; however, customers will still have the ability to deploy on GCP. Please reach out to your IBM Seller to deploy on GCP.
Introducing IBM StreamSets Client Managed Software
We launched an on-premises IBM StreamSets product on December 11, 2024. For the first time, our Control Hub will be deployed using RedHat OpenShift and Cloud Pak for Data so the customer has complete control over both the Control Hub and the Data Plane, providing greater flexibility and autonomy in managing their data infrastructure; all while preserving the capabilities of StreamSets. This is different from our SaaS offering as IBM StreamSets as a Service operates the Control Hub, while customers manage the Data Plane independently. Please reach out to your IBM Seller for more information and how to get started with IBM StreamSets Client-Manage Software.
For more information on IBM StreamSets Client Managed Software please view our community blog.
StreamSets Customers After January 1, 2025
Shortly after January 1, 2025, IBM will begin moving contacts and entitlements for existing Software AG customers and partners to IBM systems.
We will continue to support those customers on the Transformer products.
