In a 24×7 world, the expectation is that databases are always available, especially those that target OLTP workloads. Within the Db2 family, pureScale is the shared-disk clustering solution that aims to achieve zero downtime for this 24x7 world through an architecture that provides the highest availability for the most demanding OLTP workloads. In this webinar we will discuss the improvements we made to pureScale’s Index Reorg Rebuild, one of the fundamental day-2 maintenance operations, to allow an index to be completely rebuilt without taking an outage. In this session we will cover the nuts and bolts of the new Db2 pureScale Online Index Reorg Rebuild feature’s design, including its processing stages, configuration and monitoring options, and best practices to use it and achieve the highest availability.
