In this webinar we aim to give you an overview of the monitoring and query tuning features of Db2 Data Management Console. You will learn how you can use Db2 Data Management console to identify Db2 performance bottlenecks, such as I/O, CPU, lock contention, and query processing delays, using both real-time and historical data. The session will also cover tuning poorly performing queries using RUNSTATS and Index recommendations. Additionally, we will explore the Index What-if analysis tool which allows you to create your own index hypothesis or virtually drop an existing index for performance evaluation.

Sheshnarayan is the Technical Architect in Db2 Tools product and primarily handles DB2 Data Management Console Product across all flavors of deployment and data sources. He has extensive working knowledge of Database and tools and has worked in IBM Informix, IBM Optim and IBM Netezza products prior to this role. Sheshnarayan has 7 patents on his name and 2 published Technical disclosures.

Nidhi Marwaha

Nidhi is a Software Engineer in IBM Db2 Data Management Console team. She has worked in the console team for 5 years now with the focus area of Db2 monitoring and prior to that was working in IBM Watsonx data and Db2 Replication team.
