Jens Seifert has a 1996 Diploma in computer science at University of Stuttgart. He worked for HP and subsidiaries of HP in the area of CAD, 3D visualization and collaboration and document management. Jens then joined IBM in 2001 and worked in many area's of Db2 in which SAP has requested improvements like backup, restore, log file management, query rewrite, optimizer, SQL extensions, text search, row based and BLU runtime especially platform specifics and SIMD exploitation, db2sap library, and administrative tools like ADMIN_MOVE_TABLE.
