Hello Jesper,
The Index-advisor capability for tuning single SQL as well as SQL Workloads will be made available through the Query Workload Tuner for zOS (API enabled service) and the User experience is being built on Db2 Administration Foundation. Work is underway and the User experience work will be delivered in phases through 2023.
The Db2 Developer Extension for z/OS which is the strategic Application development platform for Db2 for z/OS will also support the capability for Application Developers to invoke certain single query tuning advisors like the Index advisor, access path advisor, query rewrite advisor, stats advisor, SQL Annotator and visual explain.
Do yu use Data server manager or Data Studio for query tuning today? Let me know if you'd like to chat more on this topic.
Regards,

Do you have any news about the future for index-advisor functionality in
- "Data Server Manager"
- "IBM DBb2 Data Management Console"
- "IBM DB2 Administration Foundation"
The Index Advisor is essential for DBA in tuning thousands of long running SQL queries

Do you use query tuning capabilities like index advisor, query rewrite, and access path advisors?
When are you most likely to use query tuning capabilities?
- Application development (new/change of application code)
- DBA review of application development change
- reactionary (performance problem in production or late phase testing)
